EA SPORTS FC 27 is an upcoming release. The worldwide date is 25 September 2026. Ultimate Edition and Ultimate Plus Edition early access begins 18 September 2026. This page is the ordered chronology. Nothing on this page should be read as “the game is out.” Closed Beta is finished. Early access has not started at the time this wiki went live.
23 July 2026 — announce and pre-order open
EA revealed FC 27, the covers, the edition stack, and the 25 September / 18 September dates in one day. Pre-orders opened immediately across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. Dual entitlement is part of the package: PS4 copies upgrade to PS5, and Xbox One copies upgrade to Series, at no extra cost.
Ultimate Plus was sold as a limited early-bird SKU from that 23 July open through 31 August 2026. That window has ended. If you did not buy Ultimate Plus before the cutoff, you are looking at Ultimate (still includes up to seven days of early access) or Standard (launch day). Ultimate Plus is also the SKU that put Mbappé and Bellingham on the same cover and bundled the larger FC Points / Premium Pass pile plus a Hall of FUT pick.
5–25 August 2026 — Closed Beta
The Closed Beta ran 5 August 2026 at 17:00 UTC through 25 August 2026 at 17:00 UTC. Access was invite-only via emailed codes. Platforms included PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, PC (Steam and EA app), Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2. The Grounds in beta was current-gen only. Progress did not carry into the retail club. Streaming rules and mode access varied by invite. If you still have a beta build installed, it is not early access.
EA’s 3 September closed-beta feedback note is the post-mortem: triggered-run distance, Authentic Gameplay notes, and a separate FUT launch-update deep dive still to come. It is not a new playable window.
Mid-September — Web App and Companion (expected)
EA has not always posted the Web App minute as early as fans want. Community tracking, based on the usual pattern of Web App a couple of days before early access and Companion a day later, points at about 16 September 2026 for the Ultimate Team Web App and about 17 September 2026 for the Companion App on iOS and Android. Treat those two dates as expected, not as a locked EA press release, until the company publishes them.
The Web App is where FUT clubs start packing and listing before anyone kicks a ball in the full client. You still need an eligible EA account; previous cycles have required a FUT club already linked. That is a FUT workflow, not a substitute for early access matches.
18 September 2026 — early access and EA Play 10 hours
Ultimate and Ultimate Plus unlock up to seven days early on 18 September 2026. Progress in FUT, Career, and Clubs counts. This is the first time an International ICON pre-order item is expected to land in a live club.
EA Play members get a 10-hour trial from the same 18 September date. Ten hours is enough to learn menus and a handful of matches; it is not a full week of FUT grinding. When the trial expires, you wait for 25 September unless you upgrade the edition. Details of what the trial includes can differ from the paid early-access client — check editions and EA Play’s own listing rather than assuming every mode is on.
Console early access traditionally flips at midnight in major regions; PC storefronts sometimes unlock an hour earlier. Use 18 September as the date and confirm the store countdown on your platform.
25 September 2026 — worldwide launch and Lite
Standard Edition and everyone not in early access join on 25 September 2026. PC storefronts often show 24 September 23:00 UTC, which is the same instant as 25 September in most of the world — do not plan around “24 September” as a separate day.
FC 27 Lite is the free Kick-Off-style preview. EA’s edition FAQ times Lite for 25 September 2026 at 16:00 UTC on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Lite is not the full game. You can upgrade from it. It is also not early access and not the Closed Beta.
After 25 September — staggered Asian dates
Wikipedia and regional listings put a staggered Asian rollout after the worldwide date:
- South Korea — 2 October 2026
- Vietnam — 9 October 2026 (regional notes also group Thailand in the same later window)
- China — 23 October 2026
If you are buying in those territories, the 25 September “worldwide” headline may not be your store date. Confirm on the local storefront. Everyone else should plan around 18 September (paid early access / EA Play trial) and 25 September (full launch + Lite at 16:00 UTC).
