EA SPORTS FC 27 Guides Hub

Practical walkthroughs for launch week, the pitch, and the three headline modes.

Guides Hub

EA SPORTS FC 27 launches worldwide on 25 September 2026, with Ultimate and Ultimate Plus early access beginning 18 September. This unofficial fan wiki groups the how-to pages that matter in that first week: how you get in, how the new defending feels, and which mode you should start if you only have an evening.

Use this hub as a map, not a dump of every menu. Each guide below is written around a real decision — edition, platform generation, camera, club choice, or mode — rather than repeating the same launch blurb. If you already know the calendar, skip to the pitch. If you do not, start with access and editions.

First week: access, setup, first hour

New players should open Getting Started before they queue a rival match. It covers platforms, editions at a glance, a first-hour plan (Kick-Off, Career, Football Ultimate Team, and The Grounds on supported hardware), and how to pick a club without painting yourself into a corner.

FUT players waiting on the browser club should open the Web App and Companion guide this week: dates are still expected around 16 and 17 September 2026 until EA posts them.

If you bought Ultimate, still own Ultimate Plus from the early-bird window, or plan to use EA Play, read Early Access next. It separates 18 September from 25 September, explains the 10-hour trial, EA Play Pro on PC, Lite on launch day, dual entitlement, and what you can actually play before the worldwide unlock. Pre-order windows and the closed Ultimate Plus upgrade path live there too.

Hardware and storefront questions belong in Tools once you have chosen a mode. Promo redemptions, if any go live, sit on Codes. Official storefronts and partner links are collected on Links.

On the pitch

FC 27 puts more of the tackle, intercept, and block on you. The Controls page maps PlayStation, Xbox, and the modernised PC keyboard layouts, then walks through driven passes, finesse shots, player lock, teammate contain, and the new curved-run inputs. Use it as a reference while you learn the Gameplay changes: AI auto-tackles stripped back, larger manual ranges, attacking spatial awareness, two-phase corners, two-player headers, off-balance dribbling on current-gen, PlayStyles rebalance, and Authentic Gameplay 2.0.

When you start building a competitive XI, pair those pages with the Tier List Hub so formation and Role choices match the new defending, not last year’s meta.

Modes: Grounds, Career, Ultimate Team

The three headline modes do not share a single progression track. The Grounds is the social hub (Clubs included) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It is not on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch. That page covers the Terrace, the three districts, mentors, Kickabouts, small-sided Rush, AXP, Amps, and Masteries.

Career Mode is the rebuilt Manager and Player Career: TransferRoom valuations, bidding wars, buy-back and performance clauses, Dynamic OVRs, Growth Profiles, Manager Live Creator Challenges, Player Career rivalries, and the 13 archetypes. Ultimate Team is FUT: Gallery sets and grades, Campaign Hub, Evolution Pathways, streamlined SBCs, Holographic items, and the expected Web App / Companion window.

Licensed stars, ICONs, and ratings live under Players. Patch cadence and the release calendar sit on Updates.

How to read these guides

Facts on this site treat FC 27 as upcoming. Dates are written as launches and begins, not as if the servers are already live. Online multiplayer and local split-screen both exist; nothing here pretends the game is couch-only. Authenticity numbers — 21,000+ players, 800+ clubs and national teams, 140+ stadiums, 35+ leagues, 300+ partners — are EA’s published figures, not a claim that every mode uses all of them on every platform.

If you only open three pages before early access, make them Getting Started, Gameplay, and whichever mode you will actually play first.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Launch week answers on editions, The Grounds, Career, and Ultimate Team.

Which guide should I read first?

Start with Getting Started for platforms, editions, and a first-hour plan. If you paid for Ultimate or still hold Ultimate Plus, read Early Access before you download so you know the 18 September window, EA Play limits, and Lite on launch day.

Do these guides apply to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch?

Kick-Off, Career, and Ultimate Team run on last-gen and Switch. The Grounds, including Clubs, is limited to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Dual entitlement upgrades PS4 to PS5 and Xbox One to Series at no extra cost, but Grounds content still needs a supported platform.

Is this an official EA wiki?

No. This is an unofficial fan wiki. Edition contents, dates, and feature lists are drawn from EA Pitch Notes and store pages; always confirm live storefront text before you buy.

Where do codes, ratings, and patch notes live?

Promo codes sit on the Codes hub. Player ratings and ICONs are under Players. Patch notes and the release timeline sit on Updates. Tools holds editions and system-requirement helpers.

Can I play with friends online and on the same console?

Yes. FC 27 includes online multiplayer across the main modes and local split-screen in Kick-Off. It is not limited to couch play, and it is not offline-only.
